Meet your Instructors:
Seamus Cummusky - Instructor
I've had an interest in building since I was a kid playing around with Lego’s and Lincoln Logs. My curiosity for design led me to Portland State University where I graduated with a BS in architecture. My curriculum had a focus in urban development and earth science which guided me to include sustainability within my building practices. I've worked in the design/build industry for more than 10 years before starting Grounded Design Build. At Grounded we offer welding and woodworking services to bring you a wide array of custom built products.
Paul Camfield - Assistant Instructor
I am a semi-retired former museum director, higher education fundraiser, and alumni relations director. I first learned carpentry work/woodworking back in1978 in Charleston, SC. From there I worked in various fields of cabinet shop fabrication to residential construction. From 2000-2016, I built and sold 4 tiny houses in Texas, using reclaimed materials. I am passionate about telling people about how much enjoyment you can have working with your hands.
